Mumford And Sons Reveal Second Album Plans

Mumford And Sons are set to release the follow-up to 2009's Sigh No More on September 24.

The band announced their plans whilst on stage at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands yesterday (May 28th). Frontman Marcus Mumford apparently told the crowd that the band had finished recording the album, before keyboard player Ben Lovett revealed their plan for an autumn release.

Mumford and Sons are set to play two festivals this summer, including Huddersfield's Greenhead Park on June the 2nd, (with Michael Kiwanuka, Willy Mason, The Correspondents and Nathaniel Rateliff), and on June the 9th at Galway's Salthill Park, where they'll be performing alongside The Vaccines, Zulu Winter, Nathaniel Rateliff, Willy Mason and The Correspondents (again).

Meanwhile, Mumford & Sons have written a new track titled Learn Me Right as part of the soundtrack to the new Pixar film Brave. The track was written, arranged and produced by the band, but features singer, Birdy, providing vocals.
