Keith Moon To Haunt Olympic Games?

Despite the minor inconvenience of The Who's Keith Moon having been dead for some 33 years, the organizers of this year's Summer Olympics in London have invited him to play at the event. According to Bill Curbishley, the band's manager, Moon was issued an invitation to perform during the 'Symphony of Rock' at August 12th's Closing Ceremonies. Curbishley told the London Sunday Times that he did somewhat facetiously respond to the Olympic people:

"I emailed back saying Keith now resides in Golders Green crematorium, having lived up to the Who's anthemic line 'I hope I die before I get old'. If they have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might contact him."

Moon dies on September 7th, 1978 at the age of 32 after having taken an overdose of the sedative Clomethiazole which had been prescribed to help him with alcohol withdrawal.
