Beastie Boys Pull Out Of RaRHoF Induction

A further inductee has reluctantly said they will be unable to attend tonight's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys has pulled out. A spokeperson for Yauch has told Rolling Stone:

"Beastie Boys regret that Adam 'MCA' Yauch will be unable to join Mike 'Mike D' Diamond and Adam 'Adrock' Horovitz at the band's induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in April. Mike, Adam and Adam are truly grateful for the honor but with only two of the three Beastie Boys attending, they will unfortunately not be able to perform at the ceremony."

The full reason for Yauch cancelling his appearance has not yet been announced. Yauch has however been undergoing treatment for cancer of the salivary gland since July 2009 and, while he has said his treatment is progressing, he has never said that he was free of the disease.
