Arctic Monkeys Debut New Track

Arctic Monkeys have debuted their new song, Electricity, online today.

The track is the b-side to the Sheffield band's current single, R U Mine, and is set to be released officially this Saturday for Record Store Day (April 21st), on limited edition purple vinyl.

Electricity, like R U Mine, is heavier than recent Arctic Monkeys material and brimming with big riffs intense vocals courtesy of lead singer, Alex Turner. The band have said they're unsure whether the two tracks will feature on their next album, but they are more like the direction the band wants to go in. Drummer, Matt helders explained their musical plans:

"The way R U Mine has gone we are more into doing songs like that for now. We are kind of into the idea of doing a record that is like Evil Twin and R U Mine."
