One Love Reggae Festival's 5th Year In August

The sights and sounds of the Caribbean will transform a slice of a Garden of England this summer for a 3 day multi sensory visual, audio, cultural explosion as the One Love Festival heads to Hop Farm Kent for the 5th annual event across the weekend of August 10th-12th.


This year celebrating 50yrs of Jamaican Independence, this year's festival at the Kent's Hop Farm in Paddock Wood will see reggae legends Freddie McGregor and Dancehall King Frankie Paul headlining, joined by they will be joining fellow Jamaicans doing the Caribbean crossing - including Studio 1 falsetto singer Cornel Campbell, heavy dub and beats band Dub Syndicate, Jamaican singing combo Michigan and Smiley, Hit maker and toaster Tapper Zukie and son of a legend Gregory Isaacs - Kevin Issacs.


The festival is also one of the largest gatherings of Top Sound Systems gathered any where in the Country – including a first in UK Festival history Saxon Sound System meets Coxsone sound system all day collaboration - joining them are Aba shanti I, Iration Steppas, Youthman Promotional Sound, King Tubby Sound System, Chanel One Sound System, Jah Tubbys Sound System, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Twilight Circus Sound System, Unity Hi Fi, Instrument of Jah Sound System.


The One Love Festival takes place every year in August and is the UK’s Number 1 Reggae Camping Festival and is now 5yrs old having started in 2008 in East Sussex and now having moved into new site Hop Farm in Kent. The festival continues in the spirit of the original One Love Concert held on April 22nd 1978 in Jamaica, a classic event where Bob Marley joined the hands of political rivals, Michael Manley (PNP) and Edward Seaga (JLP).
