Lady Gaga has finally confirmed details of the 21 date European leg of her Born This Way Ball tour, kicking off in Bulgaria on August 14th, with UK shows in London and Manchester set for September.
During the tour, Gaga will perform tracks from her latest album, Born This Way, as well as The Fame and The Fame Monster. The pop diva will also be joined on the tour by newly reformed British rock band, The Darkness.
Lady Starlight, Gaga's longtime performance partner and DJ, has described the tour as:
"An Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating."
The Born This Way Ball will be Lady Gaga’s first tour since she released Born This Way, which has now sold nearly 6 million copies worldwide since May 2011. The album is the follow-up to back-to-back Grammy Award-winning albums 2009’s breakthrough The Fame Monster, and 2008’s debut The Fame. Combined, Lady Gaga’s hit singles have combined sales of over 65 million worldwide.
Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday (April 13) at 9am.
