Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro says that the band have taken a new direction on their forthcoming album, The Great Escape Artist.
"It still has a lot of what I love about Jane's Addiction, which is hypnotic, tribal, ritualistic energy, but with a touch of a new direction," says Navarro. "I'm really excited about it. It's probably one of the more gratifying creative efforts that I've been a part of."
The quartet - whose line-up is completed by vocalist Perry Farrell, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Dave Sitek - played a show in San Francisco on May 10 which was streamed live around the world. Fans can now view the 45-minute set via YouTube below:
The band's new album The Great Escape Artist will be released later this summer and the band headline the Radio 1 stage at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August.
