Friday night saw The Stone Roses play their first full reunion gig in Barcelona, Spain - After 16 years The Stone Roses have returned to official live duty with the first show of their reunion tour.
The band took to the stage at the Razzmatazz venue to play to just 1,900 fans. This European show follows the band's impromptu performance in Warrington last month. Ian Brown reportedly told the crowd of mainly British fans that;
"2012 is the year of the comeback."
The band, which has concerts and festival appearances booked through August across Europe and the Far East, played slightly longer sets than the 11-song warm-up show at Parr Hall in Warrington on May 23rd, focusing, again, on the Roses’ 1989 debut and its B-sides, playing a set of fan favourites including I Wanna Be Adored, Waterfall, Fools Gold and the full slew of all their greatest crowd-pleasers.
The band even played a rare encore, coming back to the stage to perform an epic, ten minute long version of I Am The Resurrection. The Stone Roses 29 date reunion tour continues this Summer with three huge shows at Manchester's Heaton Park as well as a headline slot at V Festival.
