Eddie Vedder has confirmed plans to play five solo shows in Europe this summer.
Pearl Jam turned twenty last year and saw the grunge outfit release a biopic, a lengthy biography and an extensive re-issue series. At which point, always one for surprise, the singer decided to reach for his ukelele.
Vedder later released the very unexpected Ukelele Songs, creating a divided opinion. He played a number of American shows and it became clear that the project was close to the singer's heart.
However, Eddie Vedder has now announced plans for his first ever stint of European shows. He's opening with two nights in Amsterdam, and will visit the UK for two very special performances. The singer will perform at Manchester's O2 Apollo on July 28th, before appearing at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo, ending with an appearance at Portugal's Sudoeste Festival on August the 3rd.
