Radiohead and the Glastonbury Music Festival both love a good ol’ fashioned surprise. Tonight, the two musical forces will work in conjunction as Thom Yorke and co. have agreed to play a last-minute set at the festival’s Park Stage at 8pm local time, the band’s spokesperson confirmed to NME.
The set will mark Radiohead’s first live performance since January 2010. It will also preempt the band’s already announced 'Live From The Basement TV' broadcast as the first official performance since the release of their eighth LP, The King of Limbs.
Last year, Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood played a similar surprise set at the Pilton, UK-based festival.
